COMMERCIAL UTILITY INSTALLATION MINNEAPOLIS & ST. PAUL
Commercial Utility Installation
Utility installation is a crucial step in the construction process, and if not done carefully, can create weeks or months of delays. It could also lead to expensive shut downs of the project if the proper permits are not obtained or safety standards not upheld. It is a complex process that requires precision, planning, and coordination with the other areas of the construction process to keep everything on track.
There are two types of utility installations, dry utilities and wet utilities.
Wet Utility Installation Includes
- Sewer lines
- Storm drain and water system
- Water mainline
Utility Installation Includes
- Electric lines
- Gas lines
- Fiber optics
Installing utilities is not a simple matter of digging trenches into soil and connecting pipes. In order to do it safely and efficiently, many safety factors must be observed prior to digging trenches. Those safety factors include knowledge of the soil type, the depth, and the exact location of the connecting pipes. Most importantly it is not a job that can be done by anyone. Utility installation requires proper permits, licensing, experience, and compliance with local and federal safety standards.
